Guitareo is looking for a Community Manager to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position and the applicant will be required to work in-house at our studio in Abbotsford, BC, Canada.

We are looking for an individual to connect with, support, and grow our guitar community. We want someone special, someone exceptional, someone who believes in our mission and can contribute on a daily basis to the growth of our community - helping to achieve our ambitious goal of educating the world about the joys of learning music.

The role of the Guitareo Community Manager is unique and will bring diversity to your daily tasks. The main roles will be heavily focused on serving student needs, filming engaging content, and lowering student attrition.

Required Skills:

  • Competent guitar player.
  • Competent guitar teacher/educator.
  • Competent music theory knowledge and an understanding of sheet music and tablature.
  • Guitar Pro experience and knowledge
  • Film experience (camera-ready)
  • Competent computer/admin skills such as: spreadsheeting, word processing, calendar management, email organization, file management, G-Suite knowledge, and project management
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Social media knowledge and experience (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter)


  • Create and film engaging educational and entertaining content for the students of Guitareo
  • Create a core curriculum for the Guitareo platform
  • Connect and engage with the members to help build and grow the community
  • Strategize and implement new engagement campaigns
  • Decipher analytics to better provide for the students
  • Assist the Guitareo team with promotions and campaigns
  • Build your personal brand as a respected and authoritative member of the Guitareo team through lessons, support, product reviews, and more
  • Communicate daily with students through forums, email, and social media
  • Create new projects and initiatives that grow the community and encourage participation
  • Retain members of the community

Compensation Details:

  • Starting Salary: $60,000 per year
